Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of Level Four Seven Deep Tech Intelligence, including the website, application, data, research tools and AI-assisted features.

1. About us

Deep Tech Intelligence is provided by Level Four Seven Ltd., a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17151358. Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

In these Terms, “Level Four Seven”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Level Four Seven Ltd. “You” and “your” refer to the person or organisation using the service.

2. The service

Deep Tech Intelligence provides technology taxonomy, company and investor information, news and event intelligence, careers information, relationship and pathfinding tools, monitoring features and an AI Assistant. Features, coverage and data sources change as the service develops.

The service is a research and information tool. It is not legal, financial, investment, tax, regulatory, medical or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for independent due diligence.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or purchase a paid subscription. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

4. Free and paid plans

Free and Pro access may have different limits, allowances and features. Current allowances are shown on our Pricing page and may be changed prospectively as the service develops.

Where paid subscriptions are available, the price, billing period, taxes, renewal terms and any minimum commitment will be shown before purchase. Recurring subscriptions continue for the selected billing period until cancelled in accordance with the cancellation method shown in the account or checkout flow.

We may change future subscription prices on reasonable notice. A price change will not retrospectively alter fees already paid for a current billing period.

5. Consumers

Although the service is primarily designed for professional and business use, individuals may purchase it for personal use. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Where a statutory cancellation or cooling-off right applies to a paid purchase, we will provide the required pre-contract information and cancellation instructions at checkout. If you ask us to begin supplying a service during a cancellation period, the consequences of doing so will be explained before you place the order.

Business-only limitations in these Terms do not apply to a consumer where applying them would remove a mandatory statutory right.

6. Acceptable use

You may use the service for legitimate research, market intelligence, technology scouting, business development, investment research and related professional or personal purposes. You must not:

  • break the law or infringe another person’s rights;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
  • circumvent usage limits, access controls, metering or subscription restrictions;
  • systematically scrape, crawl, copy, harvest or bulk-export the service except through functionality we expressly provide or with our written permission;
  • resell, sublicense or create a competing database from substantial parts of the service;
  • share account credentials in a way that defeats plan limits;
  • introduce malware, interfere with availability, or carry out abusive automated activity; or
  • use the AI Assistant to generate or facilitate unlawful or harmful activity.

Reasonable use of individual facts, links and extracts in your own research and internal work is permitted, subject to third-party rights and applicable law.

7. AI Assistant

The AI Assistant uses automated models to interpret questions and generate responses using platform data and other permitted context. AI output can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. You should verify important information against the underlying records and primary sources before relying on it.

Do not submit secrets, highly sensitive personal data, classified information, export-controlled material or third-party confidential information unless you are authorised to do so and the feature is appropriate for that material.

AI Assistant prompts and outputs are handled as described in our Privacy Notice.

8. Intelligence and data limitations

We aim to provide accurate, attributable and useful intelligence, but the underlying world changes continuously. Public sources may be wrong, incomplete, delayed, withdrawn or contradictory. Automated collection and classification can also produce errors.

Descriptions such as sectors, subsectors, approaches, intelligence stages, relationships and classifications represent our research framework and may involve judgement. Inclusion in the database is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification or verification of an organisation, person, technology, vacancy, patent, investment or claim.

You remain responsible for decisions made using the service.

9. Intellectual property and database rights

Level Four Seven and its licensors retain rights in the service, software, design, taxonomy, organisation of the database, research methodology, original editorial material and other protected content. Third-party names, logos, articles, patents and source materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service for your own lawful purposes while your account is active.

10. Your content

You retain ownership of information you submit to the service. You give us the rights reasonably necessary to host, process, transmit and display that information to provide, secure and support the service.

You confirm that you have the right to provide content you submit. We do not acquire ownership of your confidential business information merely because it is processed through the service.

11. Availability, maintenance and changes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may carry out maintenance, change features, alter data coverage, introduce or retire functionality, or make security changes. Where a material change adversely affects a paid subscription, we will take reasonable steps to give notice where practicable.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. Account and subscription cancellation options will be provided in the application when paid subscriptions are enabled.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address security risks, non-payment, unlawful activity, material breach of these Terms, abuse of the service, or threats to other users or systems. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Business users

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to a business user for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability to a business user arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £100 and the fees that user paid us for the service during that period.

Consumers

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses arising from consumer use of the service. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

If you are a consumer, this clause does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings that apply under the law of your country of residence.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service, law or business changes. We will identify the date of the current version and give appropriate notice of material changes affecting existing paid users.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@levelfourseven.com.
